Panorama di Torino A great opportunity to brush up your Italian while enjoyng the summer, the art and history of Piedmont.

This course (13th edition) offers Italian tuition at all levels, from beginners to advanced. Teaching is continually kept up to date and adapted to participants through “made to measure” activities and personalized exercises.
Cultural activities are part and parcel of Italian learning: with teachers and young tutors, participants interact in Italian and discover the Piedmont’s art, culture and traditions.
Learning Italian becomes an involving and pleasant experience together with friends from all over the world.

Course description:
- Teaching hours of Italian language: 60 hours
- Cultural activities: 30 hours
Features of the course:
- Features of the course: 'made to measure' lessons, exclusively in Italian, with the emphasis on communication, in small groups, with teachers who are specialised in teaching Italian to foreign learners. Integrated development of the four skills, up-to-date method, continuous interchange with Italian life and culture.
- Varied, authentic teaching materials, specially prepared by the teachers, are included in the enrolment fee. You will also have access to multimedia material and to a language laboratory.
- Attendance certificate if you are present for at least 75% of the lessons.

Timetable: lessons will take place in CLIFU (Via Sant’Ottavio, 20 - 10124 Torino), from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CLIFU’s labs will remain open in the afternoon for self-learning activities. The schedule of cultural activities will be announced on the first day of the course.

A typical day:
In the morning (9 a.m.-1 p.m.):
- Italian lessons in small groups
- Seminars on special topics and in-depth studies activities

In the afternoon (3-6 p.m.):
- Self-learning activities
- Cultural activities, guided tours and leisure activities (the Cinema Museum and the Egyptian Museum, baroque Turin, the hills around Asti, the wines and food of Piedmont).

General Conditions

  • The course is addressed to Italian non-native speakers.
  • Enrolment by June 15th, 2011.
  • Participants must be 18 years old or over.
  • Participants need not be university students.
  • ERASMUS students, PhD students, researchers and scholarship holders at the University of Turin will be granted 10% reduction on admission fee.
  • Enrolment into Italian language course is compulsory in order to have access to the other activities (seminars, visits and other activities).
  • Participants should hold health insurance policies or the European Health Insurance card.
  • Admission to the course upon reception by our office of the application form and a faxed copy of payment receipt. After that participants will receive an admission letter to the course.
  • Admission to the course follows the enrolment order. A waiting list will be drawn by the secretary.
  • In case of unavailable places or course withdrawal, the payment will be refunded.
  • No refund for withdrawals after enrolment deadline above.
  • Soon after the deadline, participants will receive all relevant information and instructions on how to reach the host structure.
  • Italian knowledge required for the conversation course: B2-C1 (intermerdiate advanced). Please check the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
